Magnatte James Glickenhaus loves the Ferrari P4

Prototypes so much that merely owning 2 of them was

not enough. He has the P3/4 Targa-top car that won

the 1967 Daytona 24 ( chassis 0846 ) and also the ex-

Maranello Concessionaires 412P Coupe ( 0854 ) .

In 2006 Glickenhaus had bought the last Ferrari Enzo

and with a cheque for 4 million dollars asked styling

house Pinifarina to replicate his P3/4 using the Enzo as

the basis for road use. Then a second project car was

commissioned in 2010 this time using a 430 Scuderia

built to FIA GT2 rules for competition use.

The Competizione as it was known finished 39th in the

2011 Nurburgring 24 hours. The car caused great

interest and had a top driver line-up with Mika Salo ,

Nicola Larini , Fabrizio Giovanardi and Luca Cappellari.

It ran against a pair of special BMWs in the `XP`class

The car returned in 2012 , the sole car in the class

and showed its improvemnet qualifying 22nd in a very

high quality field between a pair of Audi R8 LMS. A

respectable 12th overall for Giovanardi, Larini and

Manuel Lauck.
